Jordyn was 9 days old when i photographed her, and I still can’t believe how animated and awake she was! She was awake for almost the entire session, would grab on to my hand and would coo when you’d tallk to her just right. You could completely see her little personality come out already! So fragile, innocent, and new….it was quite the experience to look into her little eyes and think about all of the years of life that will pass over her. I know she’s in good hands, though, as she has two brothers and two sisters- all of whome love her very much. As the youngest child myself, I also know she might get away with a lot when she grows up! I know that she will grow up and the next time I see her she will be so much bigger. I’m so thankful, though, that there will always be this piece of Jordyn at only 9 days old. XO Jess

Julia is 3!- Columbus Family Portraits
One of the best things about being a photographer is watching my clients’ children grow up. I remember holding Julia three years ago- so sweet and small- and here she is a three year old with a smile that goes on for miles! I feel like this is one of the most precious things about professional photographs- capturing the sweet characteristics of every age. The whispy hair, the sweet giggles, the fantastic children’s clothes. We did a family session on a picture perfect day earlier this summer at Inniswood Metro Gardens in Columbus, OH. This happens to be the same location we did her one year old shoot. My, how time flies! The flowers were blooming like crazy and the sun was out in full force which made the perfect backdrop for all of our fun photos. We ran and jumped and she showed me a lot about being fearless. I love the boundless energy, wonderful optimism and only genuine smiles of this age. Her favorite game was when her parents swung her back and forth. Julias’ dress was super cute and floated and swayed as she danced. She recieved a couple M&Ms from her parents each time she had a really great portait- and I so wish that were the way my life worked, too. Enjoy these photos and don’t forget to get out and enjoy this great weather! XO Jess

Lauren & Andy- Wedding Photography Columbus Ohio
This gorgeous wedding took place last month at The Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, Ohio. I just loved the colors of yellow and silver, the intimate nature of the ceremony and reception and all of the love in the room! Lauren’s dress fit her like a dream and was so elegant as it fluttered in the wind. The Conservatory served as the most diverse and elegant backdrop for the day. Although rain threatened, it only sprinkled for about 2 minutes and then cleared up. We even snuck out of the reception for some night shots against the bright lights of the building and the vibrant moon above. Enjoy! XO Jess

So beyond words excited to have a feature in the current Ohio issue of the Knot. Dave and Chanelle’s Station 67 wedding was so awesome I’m totally not surprised they were picked. As if that weren’t cool enough, Scott and my wedding also has a 3-page spread in the same issue. I like to call it the Jessica Miller issue:) Enjoy! XO Jess
Shannon & Nick- Columbus OH Wedding Photography
There are weddings, and then there are WEDDINGS. This wedding was so completely special because they had actually gotten married two years ago in a courtroom, but were both deployed for an entire year shortly after. This was their chance to truly do it up right and celebrate the love and deep commitment they have for each other. All my brides seem to have a laid back nature to them…i think my style of photography somewhat attracts people that are like me. Shannon was no exception. She even wore her combat boots under her dress as she walked down the isle! She explained that she didn’t want all the guys in their uniforms to get all of the credit. Shannon surprised Nick, who’s an avid Buckeye fan, at the reception when Brutus ran in and got the whole crowd going. Needless to say this is a great looking couple and I couldn’t be more excited to share these with you all- Enjoy! XO Jess
