This past weekend I was so lucky to have yet another amazing looking couple. This time the wedding was in Columbus, Ohio at the Franklin Park Conservatory. I can’t wait to share more from this wedding soon, but for now- here’s sneak peek of her beautiful wind-blown dress! XO Jess
This St. Patrick’s Day wedding was nothing short of amazing. We had the best March weather I can ever remember. It felt like late spring outside, and the sun was shining all day long. The ceremony took place at the stunning St. Brigid of Kildare in Dublin, Ohio. Then we took some beautiful portraits at Hayden Run Falls against the green moss- perfect for the theme of the day! And the wedding celebration and St. Patty’s party threw down at La Scala in Dublin! Not only were the reception decorations made by Lilbby, but so was her beautiful bouquet! Her green shrug was so stunning against her black and white dress. It was by far one of the cooler wedding dresses I’ve ever seen. The influx of color was so striking, I was just in love with all of the visuals and I hope you are too! XO Jess
This was a beautiful winter wedding I was lucky enough to capture earlier this year at the Bent Tree Golf Club. The details, especially on the cake, were simply stunning as you will see below. This wedding was especially cool because it was “in the round”, meaning they had friends and family sitting 360 degrees around them in the room. These two have the most laid back, wonderful and fun personalities- especially when they are together. I’ve loved getting to know the two of them better over the last year! There are weddings- and then there are weddings that will change the way you view weddings. Scott and I drove up to Detroit and photographed this wedding on a perfect but brisk late October day. A beautiful lake front church and the Grosse Pointe War Memorial provided a great backdrop for such a day. I have to say- this wedding wins the JMP most crazy fun wedding of 2011 hands down. Not only do they all (and I mean ALL) know how to party, but you could feel so much love for these two. It was pure joy from everyone that was there- we felt very lucky to be a part of it. Enjoy! David and Amanda are two of the kindest, funniest, most down to earth people you could ever know. I was so honored when they asked me to photograph their wedding late last year! (Can you believe we’re already on 2012?!) This wedding took place at the Vineyard Church of Columbus in the most beautiful intimate room, the chapel. For those who haven’t been to the Vineyard, it is a rather massive complex. Walking in, I didn’t know what to expect. Both the people and the facility were entirely wonderful to work with. The windows were artworks that encased dried flowers and botanicals. I think being able to bring nature in to an indoor setting really aids in a sense of spiritual connectivity. As the light bounced through the windows, vibrant colors surrounded the room. Amanda walked down the isle with an all-white bouquet, which I don’t see much. It is beautiful in its simplicity and I think it really accented her white gown perfectly. Gold shoes peaked out from under her dress and added a little bit of fancy-schmansy eye candy to the look! They had a very upscale color palate of black and white. After the ceremony, a festive reception was held in the Vineyard Church’s lobby area. Buckets of various flavored bottled sodas were a hit with kids and adults alike. All eyes were on the grand cake for most of the evening and the children eagerly awaited its cutting. As a wedding photographer, I couldn’t have asked for a couple that was any more in-love. They were completely enthralled with each other the entire night. It was beyond-words sweet to watch them interact. The night was filled with love and laughter and I’m so excited to be sharing these pictures with you today on the blog! XO Jess
