Today I want to share this stunning downtown Columbus engagement shoot. It had the most beautiful light from start to finish.
Bogna and Eric are, simply put, like a ray of sunshine to be around. I love the way Eric embraces Bogna in so many of these moments we captured. They both have warm and inviting personalities are are so nice to be around.
We started the shoot in Goodale Park on this spectacular fall day. Every tree was bursting with color. As we were walking, we found this huge “heart” made of sticks. It was just perfect to grab a few shots with them, and so fun for me to share the week of Valentine’s Day! Bogna and Eric also included their fur babies in the shoot. My favorite photos included their cat! This is only the second time I’ve photographed a cat as part of an engagement shoot and I think people should do it more!
My favorite part of this adventure was when we drove to a nearby parking deck and finished the shoot as the sun dipped low in the distance. The sky was blue with white puffy clouds. Excuse me while I geek out about the weather. Everything was washed in a watercolor-like layer of beautiful light. It felt like the world was sparkling. There’s also something really cool to being up high when that weather is that nice. It just makes you feel alive.
Bogna and Eric’s wedding plans were put on hold because of COVID last year, but they decided to go ahead and elope! I am so excited to share that small event in the next couple of months and to join them for their big event sometime in the near future! SO much love to these two! XO Jess
